“Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh” [Ge 22: 14]

Our God has many names. Jehovah Jireh is one of the names. Each name has a meaning. Each name brings out the character of god. The meaning of Jehovah Jireh is Pre arranging God. God is never in a hurry. Nothing takes him by surprise. He foreknows every thing and prepares all things ahead of time. In western countries the couple prepares every thing for their child, before they give birth to the child. They buy the cradle, dresses and toys before the child arrives. God cares for his children more than earthly parents. He prepares everything ahead. Parents buy every thing not because the child cried and compelled them, but because of love. God prepares everything for his children before the need arises. That’s why god wants his children to be care free.

“Casting all your upon him for the careth for you affectionatly” (I Pe 5: 7)

Your problem is already taken care of, God has the answer for your problem. He has the solution for your problems. He is Jehovah Jireh. Take your eyes off of your problems and fix them on Jehovah Jireh. I will show you one incident to illustrate that god is our Jehovah Jireh. On the resurrection day a few of the deciples of Jesus came to his tomb. All of them were ladies. They brought spices to anoint his body. But their hearts were grieved as the tomb was closed by a big stone. They spoke among themselves.

“Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the tomb” (Mk 16: 3)

But when they came near the tomb, they found that it was open. The stone had been rolled away by an Angel. They were astonished. They entered the tomb with joy. Bible scholars say that at least twenty men are needed to roll away the stone. It is beyond the power of these ladies. But Jehovah Jireh knew it ahead and he ordered one of his angles to finish the job. It took only few minutes for the Angel to roll away the stone. These ladies did not touch the stone. They did not sweat because Jehovah Jireh took care of the situation. He removed the hinderance and made the way clear. Few minutes before the tomb was closed. Now it was open. What is impossible with man is possible with God. You too are worried about the closed door. But Jehovah Jireh says that the door is open. You go ahead with faith on Jehovah Jireh and you will know that it is true. Do not say who shall roll away the stone for me. Always say Jehovah Jireh has rolled it away for me. Miracle is waiting for you. Open door is waiting for you. Opportunities are waiting for you. His name is Jehovah Jireh. He is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
